Bio Remediation – a natural solution

Bioremediationis nature's way of cleaning up. Technically, it is the acceleratedbreakdown of organic compounds through the use of enzymes, bacteria, orfungi. It's a safe, environmentally-friendly way to handle many kindsof hazardous waste and is supported by the EPA as a viable solution forcleanup of oil spills and other contaminants.

How Bioremediation Works in the SmartWasher

TheSmartWasher uses a special OzzyMat to introduce microbes (includingOzzy, our microbe mascot!) into the cleaning process.  Under aproprietary procedure, these microbes have been combined to form acolony that thrives and multiplies once activated in the SmartWasher.The colony of microbes remains dormant until the OzzyMat is insertedinto the washer and the OzzyJuice, our nonhazardous parts cleaningsolution, is added -- then Ozzy goes immediately to work. As thesolution begins circulating Ozzy moves through the machine, attackingand eating oil and grease particles.While Ozzy aggressively attacks oiland grime, that's all he will attack. He does not work on foreignsubstances, such as industrial grade metal and natural rubber, and isnonpathogenic and completely safe for you to use. Unlike mineralspirits, OzzyJuice doesn't sting or burn and actually feels good onbare hands!

Microbes Are Safe to Use

Whilethe thought of a product being based on live microbes might seem alittle strange, it is actually an environmentally sound concept. Microbes are a common occurrence in nature.  Microbes of all types areconstantly around us; they are on your body right now, even though theycannot be seen with the naked eye.

Whilesome microbes are "bad" for human survival, most microbes have eitherno impact on humans or affect us in positive ways.  The microbes usedin the SmartWasher are completely safe to humans and the environment. The microbes present in the OzzyMat are all classified as American TypeCulture Collection (ATCC) Class I.  Organisms in this classificationhave no recognized hazard potentional under ordinary conditions ofhandling.  They are subject to unrestricted distribution by the ATCC,U.S. Department of Health, Public Health Service and the ToxicSubstances Control Act (TOSCA).  Organisms receive this classificationonly after extensive study and review by ATCC and government committees.

Eachstrain of microbes used in our OzzyMat is developed with regularintegrity checks under ISO 9001:2008 conditions.  During the manufacturingprocess, supplier personnel and outside laboratories perform antibioticscreenings and check for contamination.   Production or fermentation isdone under exacting clean conditions to insure that only desirableorganisms are produced.

What Microbes Do

Microbeshave been successfully used in petrochemical plants, chemical plants,refineries, food processing plants, marine barges, machine shop partswashers, truck washes, wood treating plants and ground waterremediation applications.  Our microbes, in particular, remediate:Crude Oil, Oils, Solvents, Greases, creosote, Phenols, PCP, Fats,Amines, PNA
